**Duration:** Memorial Day to Labor Day
**Company Overview:** JMHS is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare, close to home. We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team for a summer internship as an Admin Assistant. This position will work in various departments including Administration, Human Resources, Billing and Scheduling.
**Position Summary:** The Summer Internship Admin Assistant will support the administrative team with various tasks that facilitate the smooth functioning of our daily operations. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in an office environment, specific to healthcare, offering an opportunity to learn valuable skills in administration, communication, and organizational support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records.
- Manage and respond to incoming phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and events, ensuring all logistics are coordinated effectively.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
- Help maintain office supplies and equipment; assist in inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors to support office operations.
**Qualifications:**
- Students must have completed either their junior or senior year of high school and intend to complete graduation requirements. Or they must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or be a resident of Minnesota enrolled in an out-of-state program. Post-secondary students must be enrolled in a two- or four-year health care degree program, with the intention of completing the program.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills. - Previous experience in an office setting is a plus, but not required.
